The Kenilworth Tea Garden - named after the Kenilworth Castle in Warwickshire, England - is situated in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. The estate is nestled between two of Sri Lanka’s longest and most essential rivers, ‘Mahaweli’ and ‘Kelani’. The garden experiences an annual rainfall of approximately 4,500mm and enjoys the benefits of both southwest and northeast monsoons. Elevation on the estate varies from circa 615 to 640m, hence the teas produced in the garden are classified as ‘mid-grown’. Kenilworth Tea Garden is renowned for making top quality teas over the years and we have chosen this beautifully made BOP which is a perfect example of traditionally manufactured Ceylon Orthodox tea.
The teas from Kenilworth impart a coppery bright liquor and lively and smooth flavours. A Perfect alternative for a breakfast tea.
