This tea comes from the famous Lover's Leap Estate in Sri Lanka. Medium strength tea with light golden liquor. This tea has been manufactured by using the traditional "Orthodox" techniques and with a short fermentation to preserve the quality of the tea and the delicate flavours. Ideal for a late evening or after dinner drink. A touch of honey or a squeeze of fresh lemon may enhance your enjoyment. Best enjoyed without milk. The Lover's Leap tea plantation has an interesting history taking back to the very early days when tea was introduced to Ceylon as a commercial crop. Lovers Leap Tea Estate was the only tea plantation owned by the Ceylon Tea Pioneer a Scotsman named James Taylor. Taylor planted around 200 tea plants in 1886 and the rest is history. Today we offer you this beautifully flavoured tea made at the same plantation where the story of tea began all those years ago. Lovers Leap Estate tea is High Grown at 5700 feet above sea level. Lover's Leap is named after the tragic legend of two young lovers who leapt from the top of a picturesque waterfall on the estate. This is an area of outstanding beauty, where the crisp mountain area carries the fragrance of abundant cypress groves, eucalyptus and wild mint. You are not only tasting a great cup of tea but also indulging in the history of Ceylon Tea.
