This exceptional Raw Pu erh tea imparts a smooth, earthy flavour with a deep aged complexity. Raw Pu erh tea has an ancient history. Historically, it was traded through The Ancient Tea Route of China. A sought-after collectable, Pu erh is among few teas that improve with age. Like fine wines, some decade-old Pu erh teas are incredibly exclusive and sell for high prices. Due to slow oxidation and a microbial fermentation processes, Raw Pu erh acquires a rich and earthy flavour over time. The flavour of Pu erh tea, changes dramatically over the course of the aging process, resulting in a brew that imparts a pronounced, earthy, yet clean and smooth flavour with sweet undertones.
