This premium version of the supremely robust and satisfying classic, Irish Breakfast Tea, is a blend of the highest quality Ceylon ‘BOPF (Broken Orange Pekoe Fannings)’ and ‘Dust1 Fannings’ grade tea. ‘BOPF’ is the classification for black-leaf teas with few added ingredients, a uniform particle size and no tips. ‘Dust1’ is the classification for a small and fine leaf tea. Our loose leaf Irish Breakfast Tea delivers a delicate balance of characterful strength and refined quality, without the bitterness that can often be associated with strong breakfast teas. Hailing from the celebrated Nuwara Eliya region of Ceylon (Sri Lanka), which is famed for the distinctive flavour of its exquisite teas, the brisk, full taste of this bright infusion offers a perfect, strong and satisfying cup of breakfast tea. Can be enjoyed with milk or cream per your personal preference. Brewing Guidance: Use ca. 200ml of water per 2-3g of tea | Boil water to 100℃ | Steep for 2-4 minutes. Aroma: Caramel notes. Colour: Deep amber. Flavour: The tea imparts a rich, full bodied and characterful brew, free from the typical bitterness of strong breakfast teas. Ingredients: Pure Ceylon Black Tea. Tea region: Nuwara Eliya, Ceylon (Sri Lanka). Note to customers: This tea contains a small proportion of fine tea leaves. We recommend that you use a very fine mesh filter - anything from 0.5mm or smaller - or simply re-strain your brew, to remove any bits that may have escaped.
